Supporting Your Journey to Balance and Vitality.
Welcome
Welcome, I’m Johanna — the counselor behind Integrative Mind Body Counseling. I know how overwhelming life can feel when stress, loss, or unresolved challenges weigh heavily and self-care falls to the background. Reaching out for help takes courage, and I want you to know you don’t have to carry it all alone.
As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate, my work is guided by the belief that healing happens when we honor the whole person — mind, body, and heart. I bring together evidence-based therapies such as CBT, ACT, and Solution-Focused Counseling with holistic practices that support balance, resilience, and inner strength.
My goal is not only to help you find relief from immediate struggles, but to create lasting change by reconnecting you with your own capacity for growth and wholeness. Here, you’ll find a supportive space where your story matters, your well-being is nurtured, and your path forward can take shape with clarity and hope.
My Approach
Because emotional health is deeply tied to physical and spiritual well-being, I bring a whole-person perspective to counseling. Together, we may explore how stress, lifestyle, relationships, and personal history shape your current experience. Through compassion, curiosity, and evidence-informed care, I aim to create space for growth, balance, and connection.
My approach is minimalist and paced with care: we begin with simple lifestyle practices that calm the nervous system and reduce stress, creating readiness for change. From that foundation, we may integrate nutrition, lifestyle, or supplement strategies that respect your bio-individual needs—always moving step by step so new patterns feel sustainable and restorative.
Why I Do This Work
My own life experiences, combined with my professional path, have shown me how essential it is to care for the whole self—mind, body, and heart. Over time, I saw how unresolved stress, chronic health challenges, and emotional pain often overlap. This inspired me to pursue advanced training beyond counseling—to understand not just the mind, but also how the nervous system, nutrition, and immune balance shape resilience and healing.
This integrative perspective is at the core of my work. I feel honored to walk alongside clients as they reconnect with their inner strength, reduce emotional and physical stress, and create meaningful change in their lives.
Training & Credentials
Complementing my Master of Science in Counseling degree and work as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (LMHCA), I have also pursued advanced certifications that expand my ability to offer integrative support:
Nutritional Therapy Practitioner (NTP) — holistic, food-first approach rooted in bio-individual nutrition and lifestyle support.
GAPS (Gut and Psychology Syndrome) Practitioner — protocols addressing the gut-brain connection and immune balance.
Autoimmune Paleo (AIP) Certified Coach — dietary strategies designed to reduce inflammation and support resilience.
Classical Homeopathy (International Academy of Classical Homeopathy) — a traditional, individualized healing approach that considers the whole person—mental, emotional, and physical. Rooted in the principle of “like cures like,” it supports the body’s innate capacity for self-regulation and healing through carefully selected, individualized remedies.
Beyond the Practice
When I’m not counseling, I enjoy spending time in nature, cooking nourishing meals, and exploring ways to live in greater alignment with mind, body, and heart. These practices inspire and inform the work I do with clients.
